Riding the Belle of Belgrade: A Girls’ Day Like No Other in Maine

When Lyndee invited me on a creators trip to explore Belgrade and experience her new business, the Belle of Belgrade, I knew it would be fun, but I didn’t realize just how special it would be. This isn’t just a bus. It’s an experience.

One of the coolest things about the Belle is how many different ways you can use it. Lyndee has created experiences that turn even the simplest plans into something memorable.

You can join a “Shared Adventure” like:

  • A Book Crawl

  • A Thrift Store Hop (I’m dying to do this one)

  • A Belle & Bites Tour

  • A Maine Spirits Experience

  • Even mid-week grocery runs (which honestly makes errands sound like something to look forward to)

Or you can completely customize your own trip with Lyndee. And the best part? She travels to you. She even rents the bus as a bridal suite for getting ready on your wedding day… which is such a genius idea.

For our trip, Lyndee planned an overnight stay at Water Dance Farm with a visit to Harvest Thyme Farm where we got to pet highland cows and eat the yummiest spread of fresh sourdough, jams and accompaniments. Later at Water Dance Farm we did a mixology class with Raising the Bar, a flower arranging class with Robin from the Robins Nest and a beautiful poetry reading with Erinne Magee who was author on the trip with us. I’ll definitely be sharing full blogs on those soon (stay tuned 👀).

But truly, the experience started the second we stepped onto the bus.

The bus is amazing. You instantly feel joy the moment you walk on.

There are cozy benches lining both sides with the cutest cushions and pillows. It feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. Toward the back, there’s a little sink area stocked with refreshments, which just adds to the whole elevated feel.

But my favorite details? A brooch bar where you can take or leave a brooch and a free little library on board. Its those small, creative touches that make it feel so personal and unique.

What really makes the Belle of Belgrade special, though, is Lyndee.

None of us girls knew each other when we got on the bus but within minutes, she had us laughing, connecting, and completely at ease. She brings this energy that is so genuine and contagious.

You can tell how passionate she is about the Belgrade Lakes region and about creating experiences that bring people together. She’s truly the perfect mix of tour guide, host, and hype woman.

Lyndee’s story is just as special as the experience she’s created.

She has essentially started her life over with this new venture and is putting everything into the Belle of Belgrade. You can feel that passion in every detail, every interaction, and every moment on the bus.

She has big dreams for what this can become and after experiencing it firsthand, I have no doubt she’s going to make them happen.

If you’re looking for the perfect girls’ day in Maine, this is it.

The Belle of Belgrade is fun, unique, thoughtfully curated, and genuinely brings people together in a way that feels effortless.

Definitely give Lyndee a follow on Instagram @thebelleofbelgrade and check out her website to see what adventures she has coming up. You’re going to want to be on that bus.
